03Site Recommendation

Suggested Location: Jacob Heppner Property

The recommended location is Jacob Heppner's private property, which includes a gym, range, outdoor training areas, and multiple natural backdrops across the same 50-acre location.

This location allows Garmin to capture the main Tactical Games-style content while also having the option to capture gym-focused imagery without requiring a second venue.

Walkthrough NoteThe Garmin team will complete a site walkthrough in July to approve the overall location, identify specific shot locations, and determine which property zones are best suited for the final shot list.

05Primary Objective

Main Effort: Tactical Games Still Photography

The main effort will focus on capturing still images that position the Garmin tactix 9 in an authentic Tactical Games–style environment. This includes outdoor training, range work, rifle and pistol handling, and fitness-based tactical movements.

The shoot will be designed around realistic, on-location scenarios that match the rugged, tactical, and performance-driven look Garmin wants to promote for the watch.

Capture Target

Approximately 3–5 fitness-focused Tactical Games images, plus additional watch-focused rifle and pistol imagery.

Rope Climb Rig Options

If Garmin wants rope climbs included in the photo shoot, there are two rig options available.

◉ IMG.REF

Insert photo of black rental rig
Option 1$3,000

Mobile Black Rig Rental

Includes

  • Rig rental
  • Travel from Joplin
  • Installation on location
  • Tear down
  • Return transportation

Important Note

This rig is mobile in the sense that it can be transported to the property, but once installed it cannot simply be pushed or moved around on-site. The final rig location must be selected during the July site walkthrough.

Insert photo of Jacob's existing outdoor rig
Option 2$2,000

Add-On to Existing Outdoor Rig

Includes

  • Additional outdoor rig component
  • Installation onto Jacob's existing personal rig
  • Rope climb capability on-site

Important Note

This option would be bolted into the ground and fixed in one location. It would not be moveable once installed.

CMP/Option 1 provides a cleaner black rig look but costs more. Option 2 is more cost-effective but is fixed to the existing outdoor rig location.

08Optional Add-On

Optional Add-On: Gym Photography

In addition to the Tactical Games main effort, Garmin has the option to capture a separate set of gym-focused still images that fit the look and feel of the Garmin tactix 9 Pro.

This add-on would allow Garmin to expand the content library beyond range and tactical fitness imagery by capturing more traditional strength, conditioning, and gym-based product moments.

Recommended Creative Direction

  • Watch close-ups during strength training
  • Functional fitness movements
  • Gritty but clean gym environment
  • Different talent from Tactical Games shoot
  • More controlled lighting
  • More polished indoor performance look

Production RecommendationFor the gym-focused images, 6 Media recommends using a separate talent from the Tactical Games shoot. This gives Garmin more variety in the final content library and creates a different look for the gym-focused assets.

10Optional Concept

Optional Concept: Night / Low-Light Content

6 Media Collective's main camera operator regularly shoots content for Athlon, a brand focused on thermal and night vision products. Because of that experience, our team is highly capable of capturing tactical night, low-light, and performance-based content if Garmin wants to explore this creative direction for the tactix 9.

This concept would focus on the watch in nighttime or low-light tactical scenarios, with emphasis on rugged use, night capability, and operational-style visuals.

Potential Creative Direction

  • Watch close-ups in low-light conditions
  • Night range environment
  • Tactical movement after dark
  • Firearm and gear-focused compositions
  • More cinematic, dramatic product imagery

Production Note

This would likely be shot on a different day, with a different location, different talent, and a separate production approach.
